Ground Breaking Ceremony

St. Bernard Parish Government breaks ground on a new water plant

05.25.12 | Parish President David Peralta led the groundbreaking ceremonies of the parish’s new water treatment plant. The 12 MGD water plant will supply all potable water to the water distribution system for the entire parish. This is a joint venture with Engineering firms Burk Kleinpeter, Inc., Black & Veatech and H. Davis Cole & Associates and contractor Morgan Contracting, Inc. The water plant which is fully funded by Community Development Block Grant funds will cost $22,000,000.00 and is expected to be completed by March, 2014.
